Microsoft’s new outlook.com email service brings a lot of great new features to the table, but those who are concerned with account security would question the security features of this new service. So, we will have a very quick overview here to help you know what you want to know and save your time at the same time .
- The maximum number of password characters you can use is 16.
- According to Microsoft, this limit will be increased but it will take time.
- Single Use code is a new security feature which eliminates the need for passwords. When you enable it, every time you want to log in, Outlook will send a text message to your cell phone that you will enter on the page to log in.
- Texts in your emails will not be indexed, to display relevant ads to you, unlike Gmail.
- There is no Gmail-like two factor authentication currently. But they will bring it in future.
