MS Office finally supports ODF, Open XML, and PDF formats

 

After years, Microsoft office will finally support Open Document Format (ODF), Adobe;s PDF, and Microsoft’s own Open XML document standard.
Good news for OpenOffice users.
In a blog post on Monday, Jim Thatcher, Principal Program Manager Lead for Office Standards announced that office 2013 will support ODF, Open XML and PDF formats.
The following table shows the evolution of file format support in the last few versions of office.
