Microsoft’s Chief privacy officer Brendon Lynch’s Post

Brendon Lynch has a recent post arguing that during internet explobrendan-lynchrer setting, most people choose “do not track” when asked. That’s why Microsoft has  made this a default option in IE 10.

Furthermore, Lynch said

“In short, we agree with those who say this is all about user choice. However, we respectfully disagree with those who argue that the default setting for DNT should favor tracking as opposed to privacy.”
