How to Disable Facebook Chat permanently from Messenger, Outlook ,Windows Phone, Windows 8

Have you connected your Facebook account to your Microsoft account and tired of Facebook chat? You disable it and it gets enabled by itself ? When you connect your Microsoft account to your Facebook account, and enable chat, you will be logged on to your Facebook chat automatically when you visit outlook.com, open windows messenger, when your connected on your Windows Phone device, or when you turn on your windows 8 PC if you have connected your Microsoft account to you PC.  Here is a permanent way to disable it.

  1. Go to outlook.com and sign in with your Microsoft account credentials.
  2. Go to http://profile.live.com (copy and paste it to the same browser where you sign in)
  3. Click on ‘Manage’ which you can see below all other links.
  4. Now, click on ‘edit’ below Facebook.
  5. Uncheck “Chat with Facebook friends”.
  6. Click save.
  7. Done, enjoy.
